Breaking Barriers: National Meeting
On April 30, 2025, a significant meeting took place in the capital focused on the execution of the «Barrier-Free Movement» program, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba.
The meeting included representatives from the President's Office, such as Deputy Viktor Mykyta, alongside the Minister's advisor on barrier-free initiatives, Iryna Malyutina, and local administration leaders.
Odessa was represented by the city mayor's advisor on barrier-free space, Oleksiy Morozov, who, along with the director of the internal policy department, showcased the advancements in barrier-free strategies.
Odessa has been selected as a pilot community for the project under the national strategy of First Lady Olena Zelenska, aimed at establishing barrier-free routes in key urban areas across the country.
«We are already observing practical results in implementing the barrier-free strategy. Our city infrastructure is becoming more accessible for every resident», — noted Oleksiy Morozov.
