Ukrainian Hockey Players Triumph at International Tournament
The international hockey tournament in Austria concluded with the Ukrainian national team celebrating victory. This tournament was crucial for the preparation for the U18 World Championship in Division 1A.
Ilya Bobrov, a promising goalie trained at the Youth Sports School 'Dzhinistra' in Odesa, represented the Ukrainian team.
The Ukrainian team faced Denmark and the host team, Austria, during the tournament.
In their opening match, Ukraine triumphed over Denmark with a score of 3:0.
Bobrov showcased his skills by saving 25 shots, achieving a 'shutout' performance.
In the second match, the Ukrainian team secured a resounding victory against Austria, winning 7:1, again thanks to the stellar performance of their goalie.
For their outstanding achievements, Ilya Bobrov and his coach Ruslan Korop were awarded Honorary Certificates by the Odesa City Council at the 'Sports Capital' awards in 2025.
