International Mission Visits Odesa

An international mission from the UN Development Programme (UNDP), UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and UN Population Fund (UNFPA) is currently visiting Odesa.

The visit, involving five UN ambassadors and other esteemed guests, was organized by UNDP in Ukraine as part of their collaboration with UNOPS and UNFPA.

During their working visit, the delegation toured projects supported by the UN, including healthcare facilities.

The city mayor expressed gratitude for the assistance provided to Odesa, especially for the involvement in the reconstruction of Hospital No. 8.

Gennady Trukhanov noted that while the facility is a standard hospital, it has already saved many lives, including victims of hostile attacks who required urgent medical care, which was provided thanks to the highly qualified staff and modern equipment.

Meeting participants also discussed future cooperation, including attracting international investments for infrastructure projects such as the reconstruction of sewage systems and the construction of housing for internally displaced persons.
