Online Meeting between the Mayors of Odesa and Chișinău: New Paths for Cooperation
The mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, held an online meeting with Ion Ceban, the mayor of Chișinău. They congratulated each other and the residents on the 30th anniversary of their partnership and discussed current challenges and opportunities for cooperation.
The previous meeting took place at the Summit of European City Mayors in Strasbourg, where they talked about the role of local governance in society and infrastructure initiatives.
Ion Ceban noted that Moldova is currently implementing several projects with Romania and expressed interest in developing trilateral relations.
The mayors agreed on the establishment of a trilateral working group to develop joint projects in the areas of infrastructure, economy, and social support, aimed at ensuring sustainable development of cities and strengthening ties between Ukraine, Moldova, and Romania.
This initiative will attract new resources, facilitate experience sharing, and support Ukrainians during challenging times.
