National Veteran Sports Competition Kicks Off in Odesa
In Odesa, the first national veterans' competition titled «On the Wave» was inaugurated by Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, alongside the President's Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, as reported by the Odesa RSA press service.
Over 100 veterans from across Ukraine gathered to test their skills in four adaptive sports: wheelchair basketball, rowing on simulators, archery, and boccia.
“Each participant embodies a unique story of inner strength and resilience. Our heroes, the veterans, continually prove that Ukraine is home to fantastic people. We thank everyone who made this event possible: the NGO «Free Warriors», the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, the NGO «Come Back Alive», and the «Limitless Opportunities» fund. We wish our athletes a sea of positivity, new friendships, and inspiration! Odesa is with you! Together to victory!” — highlighted the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
