Border Guard Championship in CrossFit Held in Lviv
The city of Lviv hosted an exciting championship in functional multi-sport for the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service. Over fifty border guards from across Ukraine showcased their strength, endurance, and team unity. The outstanding achievements of the servicemen from Odesa were reported by the Southern Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service.
The athletes competed in four age categories, completing a series of nine exercises including pull-ups, bench press, rope climbing, and a team relay on the Concept 2 rowing machine.
The Odesa border guard unit won a gold medal in the overall team ranking. Prize places were also taken by the Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi border units. The strongest border guards secured several victories:
Individual results:
- Bohdan Kalkatynych – gold in the II age group (Odesa unit);
- Narek Arutyunyan – gold in the III age group (Odesa unit);
- Maxim Zahorodnyuk – bronze in the II age group (Izmail unit);
- Serhiy Tkachenko – silver in the III age group (Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi unit).
In the team events, the Odesa border guards once again climbed to the podium, winning silver in the relay.
