Recognition for Energy Workers in Odesa Region
Energy workers from DTEK in the Odesa region have been awarded prestigious honors from the Ukrainian government and local authorities. These accolades were given in recognition of their vital work during wartime and the swift restoration of power after attacks.
This was reported by the press service of DTEK Odesa Electric Networks.
Specifically, Vitaliy Shestun, the chief specialist in commercial losses, received a certificate of honor from the Cabinet of Ministers for maintaining the stability of the energy infrastructure in the region during military actions.
Additionally, nine other specialists received certificates from the Chornomorsk City Council for restoring power after an attack that occurred on the night of August 30 to 31. At that time, over 30,000 homes and critical infrastructure facilities in the Odesa district were left without electricity. Within three days, the energy workers managed to restore power to the people and activate necessary equipment.
Although the enemy has attacked the Chornomorsk community before, the consequences of the latest attack were tremendous. However, thanks to the high level of professionalism among our energy workers, power was restored in just a few days. I am confident that light will always triumph over darkness, — emphasized Vasyl Huliaiev, head of the Chornomorsk community.
Honorary certificates were also awarded to Dmytro Vasiliev, Vitaliy Bielov, Oleksiy Kurenkov, Oleksandr Ropotan, Oleg Danychevskyi, Valeriy Solodovnikov, Oleksiy Nepomyshchyi, Pavlo Tikhonchyk, and Vadym Yakubovskyi.
It is worth noting that in March, 87 employees of DTEK Odesa Electric Networks also received certificates from local authorities for the prompt restoration of power after shelling in Odesa and the Odesa district.
