Hamburg Welcomes Odesa: The Odesa-Tage in Hamburg Festival Brings New Experiences
From September 14 to 17, 2025, Hamburg had its first taste of the vibrant culture of Odesa, creating an unforgettable experience.
The Odesa-Tage in Hamburg festival, organized by cultural manager Irina Timakh, attracted thousands of art lovers, offering three diverse nights filled with emotion.
The opening night dazzled with jazz rhythms and pop music, highlighted by the humor of Odesa — the atmosphere was light and friendly.
The second evening, a Benefizkonzert at Hamburg-Haus Eimsbüttel, took the audience on a musical journey from classical pieces to contemporary European compositions. Talented pianist Julia Zekler captivated the audience with her skill, alongside other musicians.
The third day concluded with an unforgettable performance titled “Nachbarn”, transporting spectators into the ambiance of an Odesa courtyard. Jokes, laughter, delicious dishes, and neighborhood tales created a cozy setting where Hamburg felt the heartbeat of Odesa. Actors from France, Oleg Savenko and Ksenia Rudkovskaya, added a unique charm to the show.
The festival received positive feedback: attendees praised the warmth of the atmosphere and the distinctive Odesa style. Odesa-Tage demonstrated how culture can unite various cities and peoples.
Irina Timakh, the festival organizer, stated:
