Equine Therapy for Veterans: New Paths to Recovery
In one of Odessa's equestrian facilities, the first equine therapy session for veterans and individuals with disabilities from the Armed Forces of Ukraine took place.
This event marks a significant step towards the rehabilitation and support of our heroes.
Equine therapy is an innovative rehabilitation method that combines physical movement, interaction with nature, and emotional balance. Sessions with horses help reduce stress levels and improve emotional well-being.
For the participants, this was not only a beneficial activity but also an opportunity to experience an atmosphere of trust and mutual support.
Such practices assist veterans in uncovering inner resources that are often hidden deep within but always remain with the individual.
«This is more than just exercise. It's a journey to oneself. A horse can sense a person's emotions even when they do not fully understand them,» participants noted.
The event was organized by the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Odessa City Council in collaboration with the State Institution «Service Office «Veteran Hub».
