Join the Global Cleanup Day 2025
Residents of Odesa are invited to take part in World Cleanup Day. From August 20 to September 20, 2025 events will take place across Ukraine as part of this global initiative. Activities will be conducted in accordance with current safety measures and will vary in format, adapting to the country's situation.
World Cleanup Day aims to foster a national culture of cleanliness, proper waste management, and environmental stewardship while promoting volunteerism and engaging internally displaced persons in socially beneficial activities.
The national youth movement Let’s do it Ukraine invites citizens from both within and outside Ukraine to join in safe formats and to register their participation results.
«In a country that faces daily consequences of war, every good deed holds special significance. Cleaning is not just about caring for the environment but also about the future of our children and the country we are rebuilding together,» noted Yuliya Marchel, coordinator of World Cleanup Day in Ukraine.
Participation formats for World Cleanup Day - 2025:
- traditional cleanups — cleaning in recreational areas, around residential buildings, parks, and schools. Participation can be individual, with family, or in groups, ensuring safety and compliance with local authorities;
- digital cleanup — removing unnecessary information from devices, emails, cloud storage, and decluttering desktops and browsers to reduce digital footprints: letsdoitukraine.org/digitalcleanup;
- sorting recyclable materials — joining the nationwide project «Find. Sort. Submit» and inputting data on the National Map of Recycling Points: recyclingpoints.org;
- Ukrainians abroad can organize online or offline cleanups, thanking hosting cities and supporting Ukraine from a distance. It is mandatory to register results.

Pre-registration for coordinators and attendance at the briefing is mandatory.
The national online briefing for World Cleanup Day coordinators will take place online on September 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and will be streamed on our page.
Every filled form brings Ukraine closer to higher positions in the global environmental responsibility ranking among 211 participating countries.

The public organization Let’s do it Ukraine expresses sincere gratitude for the support of World Cleanup Day 2024, which saw the participation of 404,121 volunteers across 24 regions of Ukraine, collectively cleaning 26,232 locations. According to the international ranking results, Ukraine ranked 11th in the world among 211 participating countries based on the number of participants.
