Children's Artistic Expression on Naval Themes in Odesa
On July 4, 2025, in Odesa, at VETERANS HUB ODESA, an awards ceremony for the winners of the city-wide children's drawing competition titled “Guardians of the Sea – Loyal, Brave, Strong” was held, in honor of the Ukrainian Navy Day.
The purpose of the competition is to foster national consciousness, creative abilities, patriotism, love for the homeland, and respect for its history and culture among children and youth.
The drawing competition was held among students of secondary and extracurricular educational institutions in Odesa, in the following age categories: 6-10, 11-14, and 15-18 years old.
According to the jury's decision, the winners of the competition were announced and awarded certificates from the Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along with valuable gifts.
Age category 6-10 years:
1st place - Maksym Pokholchuk, student of the Odesa City Palace of Children and Youth Creativity (leader - Larysa Bazhanova);
2nd place - Mykhailo Cheban, student of the Odesa House of Children and Youth Creativity “Dominanta” (leader - Khrystyna Nechyporuk);
3rd place - Daria Shevchenko, student of the Odesa House of Children and Youth Creativity “Tonika” (leader - Oksana Tkachuk).
Age category 11-14 years:
1st place - Mykhailo Banakh, student of Odesa Lyceum No. 63 (leader - Yuliia Sidorova);
2nd place - Kasapien Yaroslav, student of Odesa Gymnasium “Southern Ukrainian” (leader - Oksana Smetaniuk);
3rd place - Tetiana Vyhornytska, student of Odesa Lyceum No. 72 (leader - Stela Yavetska).
Age category 15-18 years:
1st place - Mykyta Barmaliuk, student of Odesa Lyceum No. 63 (leader - Yuliia Sidorova);
2nd place - Anastasia Syvoplyasova, student of the Odesa House of Creativity “Tonika” (leader - Lina Bezprozvanykh);
3rd place - Zlata Yusypenko, student of the Odesa Center for Children and Youth Creativity “Promin” (leader - Hanna Buialska).
This event was organized at the initiative of the command of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the support of the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa City Council.
