Deputy Minister's Visit to Odesa: Focus on Inclusivity and Sports Initiatives
Today, June 3, Ruslan Prykhodko, the Deputy Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, arrived in Odesa for a working visit.
The main goal of the visit was to inspect the city's inclusive spaces and prepare for the health season.
During the visit, the ministry representatives were introduced to the work of the Barrier-Free Council in Odesa. In particular, the focus was on creating an inclusive route "North-South" as part of the National project "Movement Without Barriers," implemented in 15 cities of Ukraine under the patronage of the First Lady, Olena Zelenska.
The Deputy Minister highly appreciated the efforts to create a barrier-free environment in Odesa, which is carried out in cooperation with veterans and people with disabilities. This includes the conditions for recreation and sports, particularly the new inclusive sports ground at the "Dolphin," where the equipment is adapted for people with disabilities.
Ruslan Prykhodko also met with Odesa's adaptive athletes who participate in various international competitions.
Additionally, the Deputy Minister expressed a desire to meet with Odesa veterans during future meetings of the Barrier-Free Council.
