Opening of the Children's Art Exhibition in Jerusalem
On May 7, 2025, the 31st exhibition of finalists from the international children's creativity competition «Easter Glow» was ceremoniously opened at the Holy Archangel Michael Women's Monastery in Jerusalem.
This competition was established to support talented children and create conditions for their creative and intellectual development.
The «Easter Glow» exhibition brought together children from various countries. For 31 years, this large-scale artistic project has been ongoing. In 2025, the exhibition featured works by children not only from Ukraine but also from many European countries, as their creative activities continue thanks to the support of their families and teachers.
The exhibition comprises 300 works, with around 100 awarded diplomas. The display includes works created in various materials and techniques - watercolor, gouache, graphics, dolls, stained glass, paper sculpture, decorative compositions, and more. The selection was made by an esteemed jury led by Galina Lekareva-Nikitina, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and a distinguished worker of culture.
In their artworks, children express personal impressions of the surrounding world, reflecting folk traditions with sincerity and directness.
As per tradition, the best works were recognized in three categories - painting, graphics, and decorative applied arts. This year, children from Ukraine, Poland, and the USA participated in the competition.
