Foreign Ministry Criticizes Social Network X for Censorship
Georgiy Tikhiy, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine, criticized the social network X for labeling posts regarding the deaths of children in Ukraine due to Russian shelling as «shocking content».
The representative of the ministry accused the social network of concealing crimes committed by Russia.
The Foreign Ministry emphasized that social network X has a responsibility for its actions.
«Seriously, X? Since when did the number of Ukrainian children killed by Russia become «shocking content”? This is not about protecting users, but about concealing war crimes committed by Russia. This is disgraceful, and this decision needs to be reversed», he wrote on the social network.
Georgiy Tikhiy attached a screenshot to his post to illustrate how the social network hid the publication from the official page of the Foreign Ministry.
The screenshot shows that the social network X concealed a post containing statistical data about at least 616 Ukrainian children killed by Russia and 1869 injured since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
