Celebrating 50 Years of Odessa School of Arts: A Journey of Creativity
On April 11, the International Cultural Center "Union" hosted a celebration for the 50th anniversary of the Odessa School of Arts No. 12!
Over the years, the school has become a hub of creativity and inspiration. New departments and collectives have been established, including the vocal ensemble Anima, a folk instrument orchestra, mixed vocal-instrumental groups, a guitar ensemble, the Gloria dance ensemble, and the children’s theater group “Dzherele,” which has been awarded the title of “Exemplary” for the third time this year.
For half a century, the school’s teachers have been opening the world of arts to children and youth, nurturing new talents and enriching the cultural life of our city. Students have repeatedly become scholarship holders from the Mayor of Odessa and laureates of national and international competitions, bringing fame to the school. Hundreds of graduates have successfully made their mark in the arts. The teachers are true masters of their craft, continuously passing on knowledge and a love for creativity to new generations.
To commemorate the anniversary, a festive concert took place featuring both young talents and their teachers.
During the concert, a formal award ceremony was held for the teachers who have significantly contributed to the school's development. Friends of the school, art schools, libraries, and Odessa Lyceum No. 5 congratulated the school on its anniversary.
An exhibition of artistic works reflecting the creative journey of students was also presented.
