Heroic Rescue at Sea: Border Guards Save a Life
On March 27, during a border patrol, the crew of a State Border Guard Service vessel discovered an empty inflatable boat in the sea. Approaching closer, the border guards saw a man clinging to the side of the boat, trying to get out of the water. This was reported by the Maritime Security of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Due to the cold water temperature, the victim was rapidly losing strength. The sailors immediately pulled him on board, provided necessary assistance, and warmed him with hot tea. It turned out that the man had fallen into the water due to his own negligence. The boat was towed back to shore.
"The condition of the rescued individual is satisfactory, and he did not require medical assistance," the report stated.
