Odesa's Collaboration with France: New Development Opportunities
The Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, met with a French delegation led by the president of the Association Architecture et Maîtres d'Ouvrage (AMO) and architect Martin Duplantier.
During the dialogue, various projects were discussed in which the architectural bureau and the association could assist. The conversation particularly highlighted medical and educational facilities as well as cultural heritage preservation.
"France has always been a steadfast friend of Odesa; we support Ukraine during the war and are interested in further partnerships and investment in Odesa. Today, we are considering restoration projects," said Mr. Duplantier.
Trukhanov expressed gratitude for the attention to the city, noting that caring for children and creating conditions for their development is a priority.
"Unfortunately, the number of children needing special attention is increasing. We need to establish a facility where children with disabilities can receive medical and rehabilitative assistance as well as education. Our team has developed proposals highlighted in the 'Swallow' project," the mayor stated.
Mr. Duplantier expressed confidence that collaboration with the French government and various European Union institutions would lead to grant programs available for this significant project.
