New Strategy for Cooperation with Humanitarian Organizations in Odesa
In Odesa, a new strategy has been developed for effective collaboration with international humanitarian organizations to swiftly respond to the consequences of enemy attacks. This was stated by Acting Mayor Oleksandr Filatov during a coordination meeting organized by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
The meeting included representatives from UN agencies and various international non-governmental organizations operating in Odesa and the surrounding region, the Mayor's advisor on humanitarian issues Veronika Etnarovych, the head of the Department of Labor and Social Policy Olena Kytaynska, and the director of the Health Department Levon Nikogosyan.
«Right now, in the Khadzhybey district of the city, municipal workers are addressing the aftermath of the nighttime enemy attack. Nearby, employees of international humanitarian organizations and charitable foundations are assisting local authorities, utility services, and especially those affected by the attack. We value this crucial collaboration that is especially needed today,» emphasized Oleksandr Filatov.
Oleksandr Filatov also presented the current needs and priorities for the city of Odesa in 2025.
Additionally, the parties discussed the matter of receiving assistance from international partners in the upcoming year.
