New Financial Strategies for Odessa's 2025 Budget
On September 27, 2024, a significant meeting took place in Odessa involving representatives from the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service of Ukraine in the Odessa region, the Ministry of Justice, and local authorities.
The meeting, initiated by the Finance Department of the Odessa City Council, focused on identifying opportunities for increasing Odessa's budget revenues and ensuring their execution.
The primary goal of the meeting was to outline pathways that could enhance budget execution in 2024 and prepare for the 2025 budget.
Discussions were held in a constructive dialogue among all participants. Issues arising during the war became a central topic that obstructs effective cooperation.
Participants thoroughly examined ideas for improving the budget's revenue side, emphasizing the importance of updating the database of taxpayers for land and real estate.
Effective budget execution will enable the city to maintain its operations and provide necessary support to the Armed Forces and their families.
Based on this meeting, a joint action plan will be developed to increase budget revenues by utilizing all available resources.
