Forum on Economic Resilience in Lviv
On October 3-4, 2024, Lviv hosted the forum titled «Economic Resilience and Community Development» as part of the Ukrainian Resilience Week.
This event brought together representatives of local government, banks, financial institutions, and experts in local finance.
The forum, «Economic Resilience and Community Development» under the motto «Let's meet in Lviv to discuss finances», attracted many participants including the Mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovyi, the First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Korniienko, the Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Maksym Kozytskyi, the EU representative in Ukraine Asier Santillan, Deputy Project Manager of USAID «HOVERLA» Marjan Yukich, Deputy Minister of Finance Olha Zykova, financial director from Graz, Austria, Johannes Mueller, and local finance experts Valentina Tymoshchuk and Natalia Koren.
Andrii Zarytskyi represented Odesa as the acting director of the Finance Department.
Participants engaged in discussions addressing key issues related to financial resilience and economic development of local communities.
As part of the event, a learning visit was conducted to the UNBROKEN National Rehabilitation Center, which provides comprehensive medical assistance to servicemen and civilians who have lost limbs.
Panel discussions focused on critical topics such as collaboration with international financial organizations, administration of local taxes, the powers and responsibilities of local financial bodies, energy independence, and labor market inclusivity.
