Holiday Celebrations for Saint Nicholas Day in Odesa
In educational institutions of Odesa, festive activities are traditionally held on the occasion of Saint Nicholas Day and the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, uniting children and adults in the charity initiative #WarmWave.
As part of this initiative, the city's educators bake treats, fill medical kits with supplies, gather essential items and food, donate funds, and weave camouflage nets for our defenders.
Children create talismans, write letters of support, and draw pictures to send to the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who protect our borders every day.
Educational institutions in the city also conduct educational activities dedicated to the heroic history of the Ukrainian people, the struggle of its defenders for statehood, and exhibitions of children's drawings and creative works titled “Proud of Our Defenders.”
The residence of Saint Nicholas has also opened, where every visitor can immerse themselves in a winter fairy tale and write a letter to the magical figure.
Members of the Student Parliament of Odesa, together with the children of fallen heroes, decorated patriotic Christmas trees on the Alley of Heroes with handmade ornaments.
With hope for victory and faith in a peaceful future, Odesa educators are undertaking significant initiatives aimed at national-patriotic education and honoring the bravery and heroism of our defenders.
