Urban Greening Efforts in Odesa for 2026
From the very beginning of 2026, the team at the Municipal Enterprise «Miskzelentrest» has resumed their efforts to plant young trees in the city.
As of now, 129 trees have been planted in Odesa. Specifically, on Novoselskoho Street, 69 maples, 3 acacias, and 1 catalpa have been planted. At the 411 Battery Memorial, there are 10 maples and 14 ashes. On Chemical Street, 8 maples have been added, and 24 maples are being planted in the green area near the Bus Station.
Last year, Miskzelentrest planted 2376 young trees in Odesa, including ashes, elms, sophoras, maples, and lindens. All trees are large-caliber with a closed root system to enhance their survival in the urban environment.
