Beware of Fake Emails: New Threats from Cybercriminals

Cybercriminals are once again sending fake emails to Ukrainians regarding alleged debts to "Nova Poshta". According to the company's press service, these emails are not affiliated with "Nova Poshta" or any other company in the NOVA group.
The company emphasized that scammers are copying logos and altering sender addresses to pressure individuals into opening attachments or clicking on malicious links.

To ensure your safety, the company advises following these simple rules:

  1. Check the sender's address. Emails from "Nova Poshta" only come from official domains. Be wary of suspicious changes or spelling errors.
  2. Do not open emails from unknown senders and avoid clicking on links.
  3. If you opened a suspicious attachment or clicked a dubious link, change your account passwords immediately and check for active sessions. If you notice any suspicious activity, terminate all unknown sessions through your account security settings.
  4. Enable two-factor authentication for email, messaging apps, banking, and other important accounts to significantly enhance protection against unauthorized access.
  5. If you receive such an email, move it to spam and delete it. This will help reduce the risk of further spam and protect other users.

The cybersecurity unit of Nova Poshta is already working to halt this phishing campaign and is cooperating with relevant authorities to limit the scammers' activities.
