Free DevOps Course for Veterans and Their Families
The Ukrainian Veterans Fund, recruitment platform Lobby X, and IT company SoftServe announce the launch of a free course on "DevOps Fundamentals" for veterans, military personnel, and their families.
The course program includes:
- basics of working with Git/GitHub;
- Linux: file system structure and administration tasks;
- scripting languages Bash and PowerShell;
- networking support concepts: protocols, IP addresses, subnetting;
- working with popular CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions;
- cloud providers IaaS, PaaS;
- working with AWS, Azure, and GCP services;
- artifacts in DevOps and their role in development;
- soft skills necessary for the IT industry;
- job search tips, resume preparation, etc.
The knowledge gained during the course will help participants master the basics of DevOps, work with databases, set up their work environment, and optimize project deployment processes. This will enable future DevOps specialists to implement changes more effectively and automate processes at every stage of development.
Classes will be held twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Zoom. Experienced mentors will introduce theoretical foundations and review practical assignments.
Lectures will also be available in recorded format for those who cannot join live.
Course start date – February 3, duration – 9 weeks.
Requirements for participation:
laptop (computer), internet access, time for homework.
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate.
Registration is open until January 29 (inclusive), by filling out the form.
Spaces are limited, and after registration, participants will need to complete a small test task on basic concepts and create a Discord account.
