Tragic Railway Incident: Man Loses Arm
The incident occurred yesterday, February 7, around 10 PM. The victim sustained a severe arm injury.

The investigative team from the local police department preliminarily established that a 53-year-old man living nearby was near the platform on the tracks and did not respond to the signals from the train driver. The driver had to apply emergency braking, but it was impossible to avoid hitting the man. The victim was hospitalized with an arm amputation.
Investigators from police department No. 2 of the Odessa district police department No. 1 have entered the details into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under part 2 of Article 276 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This concerns violations of traffic safety rules or railway operation that resulted in serious bodily injury. All circumstances of the incident are being established. The investigation continues under the supervision of the Primorsky District Prosecutor's Office of Odessa.
