Search Continues for Missing Boy in Chornomorsk
The search for a 2009-born boy who went missing while swimming in Chornomorsk on July 28 is ongoing.
According to the press service of the State Emergency Service of Odesa region, rescuers have already surveyed 444,800 square meters of the seabed, including 47,000 square meters using an underwater drone. They have also checked 455 kilometers of the coastline.
Search operations are still in progress.
It is noted that preliminary information indicates the boy was swimming near Plyazhna Street when he suddenly vanished from sight. Due to strong winds and high waves, divers were unable to conduct search operations on the same day. Rescuers commenced the search for the missing boy on the morning of July 29, as soon as weather conditions allowed.
