Beach Safety During Wartime

According to the order of the head of the Odesa regional military administration, beach openings during wartime are only allowed after all safety measures are taken and a corresponding act is obtained from the military administration.

Currently, 30 beach areas in the city have official permits to operate, where diving inspections of the sea floor have been conducted, and rescue posts and shelters have been established for safe recreation.

Meanwhile, there are areas that have either not fully implemented these measures or have not done so at all.
Employees of the city’s engineering protection department, along with the National Police, have conducted inspections of these beaches.

“If a beach is found operating without a permit, reports are drawn up, police are called, and documents are sent to the district and regional military administrations for further action. The city council can initiate contract termination with lessees,” said Yaroslav Bohachenko, head of the engineering protection department.

The city authorities emphasize that operating beaches without official permission is a violation that poses risks to the safety of vacationers.
