Fire Erupts in Odesa Region
A serious fire occurred in the Odesa region on private land. Vehicles, including trucks and buses, along with trash and dry grass, were ablaze. A woman was hospitalized due to injuries sustained while attempting to extinguish the flames herself. This was reported by the State Emergency Service.
The incident took place yesterday, July 24, during the day in the village of Sukhy Liman. On Naberezhna Street, a fire ignited abandoned trucks, buses, construction debris, and dry grass on private property. Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze and prevented it from spreading to nearby residential buildings.
"As a result of the fire, 5 buses were destroyed and 1 truck was damaged. During the self-extinguishing attempt, the landowner, a woman born in 1945, sustained burns and was hospitalized in serious condition. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are being determined. The emergency services deployed 3 units of equipment and 10 firefighters, while the Citizen Safety Center 'Avangard' provided 1 piece of equipment and 3 personnel," the statement noted.
