Starlink Satellite Internet Restores Service After Outage
The Starlink satellite internet service has successfully resumed operations following a prolonged outage lasting about two and a half hours, which significantly impacted connectivity, especially in combat areas.
This information was confirmed by the company's vice president, Michael Nichols, on platform X, as well as by the commander of the UAV forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert Brody, known as "Madyar".
Nichols stated: "The outage was caused by failures in key internal software services that facilitate the operation of the main network. We apologize for the temporary disruption and are committed to ensuring reliable connectivity in the future to prevent a recurrence of this issue".
Commander Brody also reported that connectivity was restored across all fronts roughly between 00:35 and 01:05.
He emphasized that during the outage, combat operations continued without broadcasts, utilizing strike assets for reconnaissance.
According to him, "Combat operations were conducted without broadcasts; reconnaissance was carried out using strike assets. This incident, which lasted 150 minutes, highlights the need to address bottlenecks in communication".
