Gathering of Agricultural Producers in Odesa: Facing New Challenges

A major gathering of agricultural producers took place in the Odesa region, uniting stakeholders from all over the area.

The event was hosted at the modern elevator facility «VIKING-South» and focused on vital issues such as safeguarding land resources during the state of war, tax reporting, adapting to new conditions, and preparing for the harvest of early crops.

The Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Dmytro Radulov, addressed the participants, emphasizing the importance of supporting farmers as the backbone of the region's economy and the need for transparent tax management and collaboration during wartime.

Additionally, the Director of the Department of Agricultural Policy of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Yegor Chiksheyev, discussed the current progress in preparing for the harvest of early grains and legumes.

The key topics of the meeting included:

  • legal aspects of land transactions in wartime
  • protection of farmers' interests and land leasing
  • cooperation with the public sector in arid regions
  • introduction to advanced elevator technologies

The event, organized by the All-Ukrainian Agricultural Council, attracted farmers, lawyers, land surveyors, and agricultural enterprise leaders.

While our defenders hold the front line, farmers maintain food security. The agricultural sector in Odesa continues to operate, adapting to new challenges and demonstrating that our strength lies in the people who work the land.
