Odessa Prepares for the New Heating Season
The Deputy Mayor of Odessa, Hanna Pozdnyakova, along with the director of the municipal enterprise «Odessa Heat Supply», Valeriy Ivanov, held a press conference regarding the company's preparedness for the new heating season.
«As of today, all boilers under the enterprise's management are ready for operation. According to the schedule, we have completed the pressure testing of all heating surfaces, and all identified damages have been addressed. Additionally, hydraulic testing of all heat networks has been finalized», - reported Valeriy Ivanov.
«I want to emphasize that the tariff for residential consumers remains at 1813 UAH/Gcal, which was established on February 24, 2022. As for the exact start date of the boiler operation, we do not have a specific date. According to current legislation, the heating period begins after the mayor of Odessa issues an order if the average daily temperature remains at +8 degrees Celsius or lower for three consecutive days. Under such conditions, the heating will first be provided to social facilities, followed by residential consumers. Based on meteorological data, it can be anticipated that the heating season in Odessa will commence in November», - added Hanna Pozdnyakova.
