Restoration of Apartment Complex in Odesa Continues
In Odesa, the restoration of the residential building on Serednia Street, 24, block 4, which sustained significant damage from a massive Russian missile strike, is underway.
The building has suffered major damage to its external structures, partitions, and elements of its framework. Experts mention that timely stabilization efforts have prevented the building from collapsing.
Active restoration work began recently.
«Restoration work is being carried out in a high-risk area due to the presence of 11 floors above without vertical support over an area of approximately 100 square meters,» emphasized Artem Zakharov, Deputy Director of the Department of Municipal Economy of the Odesa City Council.
«Most of the demolition work has been completed. We have moved on to a more challenging phase - restoring the reinforced concrete frame. The first vertical column element has been completed. Preparatory work for pouring the second floor slab has begun, which will reinforce this structure,» said Anatoliy Rahulin, Director of LLC «Stikon».
Builders note that the work is labor-intensive and complex, with no analogs in Ukraine. To preserve all parts of the structure, the work must be done in sections and at specific areas. This takes more time but is more effective for maintaining the multi-story building.
The work is expected to be completed by the end of June 2025.
