Greening Initiatives in Odessa
The staff of the City Green Trust has begun their work on vertical gardening by installing hanging flower pots on lighting poles.
Traditionally, these pots are used to beautify popular spots such as the Theater and Exchange Squares, as well as Deribasovskaya, Balkovskaya, and Tiraspolskaya streets.
This year, a total of 52 new planters are set to be installed across various districts of Odessa. Specially cultivated seedlings, including geraniums, pelargoniums, and others, are being prepared in the company's greenhouses.
Additionally, the team is already replacing spring flowers with summer varieties. All the seedlings for these seasonal gardens are grown at the «Rose» greenhouses.
This summer, Odessa will be adorned with 350,000 summer flowers, including petunias, begonias, pelargoniums, and more.
