Blood Donation Drive in Odesa
Last week, with the support of the «Donor Odesa» project and the administration of the Children's City Clinical Hospital No. 3, a large-scale blood donation campaign was held to aid wounded defenders of Ukraine. Medical staff from the Odesa Regional Blood Transfusion Station facilitated the mobile donations.
Over two days, employees from hospitals in the Kyiv and Peresyp districts of Odesa donated blood. On the second day, staff from Primary Health Care Center No. 5 and Diagnostic Consultation Center No. 29 also participated. In total, around 50 donors contributed, saving dozens of lives.
The daily requirement for donor blood has remained exceedingly high since the onset of the full-scale war. Blood is critically needed to save both military and civilian patients.
Any group can organize a mobile blood donation right at their location. To do this, you need:
1. Gather a group of 25-50 willing blood donors. Ensure that potential donors do not have absolute contraindications or temporary restrictions for donating blood.

3. The day before donating blood, you should observe certain dietary restrictions and medication guidelines.
