Health Day for Military Personnel in Odesa
Last week, in celebration of Defender's Day, health institutions in Odesa organized a significant event aimed at promoting physical and mental well-being for military personnel, veterans, and their families. This initiative was supported by the Odesa City Health Department and the Odesa Health Center.
During the event, medical professionals conducted various preventive examinations, including blood pressure checks, blood glucose level measurements, and ECGs for military personnel and their families. Referrals to specialists and laboratory tests were provided as needed.
To assess the mental health of the participants, they were referred to psychologists as part of the nationwide mental health program “How are you?”, which offers free psychological assistance.
As a result of the event, 408 individuals underwent preventive examinations, with all participants receiving blood pressure and glucose level measurements. A total of 136 ECGs were performed. Health issues were identified in 103 cases, and patients were referred to specialists and laboratory tests. Additionally, 84 psychological consultations were provided.
