Introduction of New Electronic Medical Reports in Ukraine in 2026
Ukraine is gearing up to implement new electronic medical reports, scheduled for launch in 2026. These documents will be essential for adoption processes and obtaining driver's licenses.
Dmytro Chernysh, the director of the eHealth development department at the National Health Service of Ukraine, shared this information during the Public Health exhibition at eHealth Day.
«Our goal is to convert important medical documents into a digital format to streamline their accessibility and enhance transparency in processes», - he stated.
According to him, work on these new electronic reports is ongoing, and legislative changes are required for their implementation.
Furthermore, this year marks the launch of the next phase of electronic services in the rehabilitation sector, including electronic prescriptions for medical aids for patients.
«This will allow for automatic data transmission to the Ministry of Social Policy, enabling patients to receive necessary aids more quickly», - Chernysh added.
Starting in 2026, Ukraine will initiate a program for preventive medical examinations for individuals aged 40 and over to detect dangerous diseases at early stages. Participants will be able to receive funds for examinations through the «Diia» app.
