Renovation of Maternity Hospital in Odessa
The Mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, inspected the progress of the renovation of the city’s maternity hospital No. 5.
The repair work is financed under the Ukraine Recovery Program, which includes co-funding from the European Investment Bank and the city budget.
«80% of the renovation is funded by the European Investment Bank, while the city contributes 20%. Once the renovations are complete, future mothers will welcome new Odessans in comfortable conditions, and we hope this will positively affect birth rates,» said Gennady Trukhanov.
The ongoing renovations and modernization will enable the establishment of a city perinatal center at maternity hospital No. 5, as outlined in Odessa's economic and social development strategy.
To achieve this, a significant amount of work must be done, including thermomodernization: insulation of façades and roofs, repair of two operational and resuscitation blocks, electric energy accounting systems, and internal engineering and thermal networks.
