New Medical Center Opens in Odesa: Support for Mariupol Residents
A new medical center named «Mariupol. Health» has opened in Odesa on Sim’yi Hlodan Street, bringing together five medical facilities that relocated from Mariupol:
- Mariupol City Hospital No. 9 clinic;
- ambulatory No. 9 from the Primary Health Care Center No. 2 in Mariupol;
- rehabilitation department of Mariupol City Hospital No. 8;
- women's consultation from the Mariupol City Maternity Hospital;
- dental office.
This center is the fifth medical hub relocated to other Ukrainian cities where Mariupol residents live. Mayor of Mariupol Vadym Boychenko stated that this center is the largest among previously opened ones and is the last in a series of such projects. It will provide medical assistance to all who seek it.
Vadym Boychenko expressed gratitude to the Odesa community, Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov, Executive Director of the Association of Ukrainian Cities Oleksandr Slobozhan, and the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for their ongoing support and assistance in establishing the center.
«Today marks 11 years since Odesites elected me as mayor. During this time, we have renovated many city hospitals, clinics, and ambulatory facilities in Odesa. We work daily to improve the quality of medical services. Today, Odesa gains another opportunity to receive quality medical assistance in modern conditions. This also creates additional jobs», — noted Hennadiy Trukhanov.
The event included words of appreciation for the defenders of Mariupol. Among the attendees were Heroes returned from captivity. They will have the opportunity to receive treatment and rehabilitation in the new medical center, which has been created with all the necessary conditions for their recovery.
