Training and Competition for Emergency Medical Workers in Odessa
In Odessa, the annual training and practical competitions for emergency medical service personnel were held. During the event, medical professionals received new vehicles and uniforms. The regional administration also played a significant role in supporting this initiative. This was reported by the Health Department of the Odessa Regional State Administration.
The event took place at the transport unit of the Odessa Regional Center for Emergency Medical Assistance and Disaster Medicine. The main goal was to enhance the effectiveness, coordination, and professionalism of medics under challenging conditions.
The Odessa Regional State (Military) Administration and the Health Department were the organizers. During the official part, the head of the administration, Oleg Kiper, handed over the keys to 11 new emergency vehicles. These vehicles will replenish the Center's fleet and will be distributed among six districts and the city of Odessa.
As part of the “Health of Odessa Region” program, the service personnel were also given certificates for new specialized uniforms. Representatives from the National Police and the State Emergency Service expressed their gratitude for the effective cooperation during emergency situations.
Following the handover, a practical competition phase took place, where teams operated in conditions closely resembling real-life scenarios. The final event was a large-scale simulation of an emergency situation, which included participants from the Red Cross of Ukraine.
