Strength, Honor, Ukraine: Odesa Fighter Shines at International Combat Jiu-Jitsu Tournament

The international Combat Jiu-Jitsu championship took place in Frýdek-Místek, Czech Republic, gathering over 300 participants from 12 European nations.

Ukraine was represented by serviceman Denys Tkachuk from the Odesa Border Guard Unit, who was part of the National Team of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Southern Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

Over three days, competitors showcased their skills in martial arts, demonstrating personal mastery, endurance, tactical thinking, reaction speed, and self-defense techniques.

Denys Tkachuk performed at the level of the best European athletes, confirming his high level of technical and physical training, endurance, and fighting spirit, earning well-deserved spots on the podium:

  • 2nd place in the “Full Contact” category
  • 3rd place in the “Close Contact” category.

The Ukrainian team also showed an excellent performance, securing first place in the team rankings. “A distinctive feature of this championship was the complete absence of representatives from the aggressor state, which fostered a constructive and friendly atmosphere focused on fair competition, mutual respect, and European sports values,” the statement said.
