Ukrainian Athletes Shine at Muay Thai European Championship
From November 7 to 14, the European Championship in Muay Thai took place in Pristina, the capital of Kosovo.
The national team of Ukraine included athletes from the Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 7: Nikita Kuts, Bohdan Studnev (coaches Hanna Avakova and Volodymyr Pishenin), as well as Dmytro Zanin (coach Volodymyr Pishenin) and athletes from Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 16: Elina Perstniova (coach Maksym Neledva) and Valeriy Denysov (coach Pavlo Yevtushenko).
Nikita Kuts (54 kg) and Bohdan Studnev (60 kg) became European champions among adults. Valeriy Denysov could not finish his final match due to an injury and received a silver medal. Dmytro Zanin (60 kg) earned a silver medal in the youth category.
In the overall team standings among adults, the Ukrainian national team took first place, while in the overall standings across all groups, they secured second place.
This year, Nikita Kuts became the world champion among youth and juniors.
