Enhancing Bicycle Infrastructure in Odessa
The municipal organization «Specialized Installation and Operation Unit» has summarized the results of the work done this health season along the city's coastline.
Thanks to the establishment of a two-way bike lane from the 11th to the 16th station of the Great Fountain, cyclists can now easily reach the 16th station from the city center.
«The bike lane allows safe travel around the city. We see that its popularity is increasing, so at the mayor's request, we will continue to develop bike routes throughout the city,» said Deputy Mayor of Odessa Pavlo Vuhelman.
The president of the bicycle club «Arcadia» also highlighted the positive changes.
«This bike lane has become the best in the city. Since its opening, the number of cyclists has significantly increased. People are responding actively to the new markings. It's great to see the development of cycling in Odessa,» said Viktoriya Bondarenko.
The city's plans include further development of bicycle transport infrastructure, including connecting residential areas through new bike routes.
