Educational Initiative in Odesa: Coffee for a Cause
Odesa has launched a new initiative called 'Coffee with Education'.
This idea was introduced by the city’s Department of Education and Science last year and has received widespread support from local residents, becoming a cherished tradition.
At school fairs, delicious treats made with love by our children, parents, and teachers are available for purchase.
Every cup of coffee bought is not only a delightful beverage but also a contribution to our collective victory.
'Coffee from educators has once again united us all around a common goal – to support those who defend our country daily. All funds raised will be donated to the needs of the Armed Forces, so our soldiers feel our gratitude and support,' said Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
The Director of the Department of Education and Science, Olena Buinevych, expressed her gratitude for the incredible support, noting that in just a few days, 'Coffee with Education' raised nearly 1.7 million hryvnias.
Additionally, treats and gifts from the children were delivered to veterans undergoing rehabilitation.

In Odesa, rehabilitation departments operate in almost all city hospitals, but inpatient care is only part of the lengthy integration process for veterans into civilian life. The next steps include adaptive sports, vocational retraining, or starting a business, enabling individuals with disabilities to meet their own needs and those of their families.
