Ukraine's Talents Shine in Bavaria
From August 17 to 23, 2025, a group of 20 students aged 8 to 16 from Odesa Gymnasium No. 26, along with five accompanying adults, traveled to Bavaria (Federal Republic of Germany).
The primary aim of the journey was participation in the international talent camp Talent-Akademie - 2025.
For ten days, the children lived in an environment of creativity, collaboration, and trust. They worked in mixed international groups, overcoming language barriers, making new friends, and learning to cooperate in teams.
Theatre, music, dance, painting, quests, and games became a space where talents were revealed, mutual respect was fostered, and new ideas were born.
Cultural evenings held special significance, showcasing the richness of traditions from three countries. The Ukrainian evening was a celebration of unity through song and flag, while the Polish evening offered hospitality, dance, and bread with honey as a symbol of togetherness. The German evening introduced new forms of teamwork and discovery through interactive games.
A true challenge and revelation was the ascent to the Alps, where a quest centered around the theme of “Talent Academy” took place. Children searched for clues and answered questions in three languages—Ukrainian, Polish, and German. This served as a vivid example of integration, intercultural dialogue, and child diplomacy.
A trip to Lviv, Prague, and Ulm allowed participants to explore architectural landmarks, culture, and the modern life of European cities. For many, it served as a reminder that Ukraine organically belongs to the European sphere. Unforgettable impressions were also left by the excursion to the BMW showroom, where children touched upon the world of cutting-edge technology.
The project demonstrated that modern Ukrainian youth are ready to be part of the international community. The students from Odesa Gymnasium No. 26 not only showcased their talents but also became true ambassadors of Ukraine.
The experiences gained in Bavaria will serve as a foundation for further initiatives aimed at developing talents, integrating Ukrainian youth into the European educational space, and expanding international cooperation.
The event was supported by the non-governmental organization InKontakt and in partnership with the Polish school Publiczna Szkoła Podstawowa im. Bolesława Krzywoustego w Wolinie.
