Enhancing Bicycle Infrastructure in Odessa
The municipal organization «Specialized Assembly and Operation Unit» has summarized the work done during this health season along the city’s coastline.
Thanks to the new two-way bike lane from the 11th to the 16th station of the Great Fountain, cyclists can now easily travel from the city center to the 16th station.
«This bike lane allows for safe movement throughout the city. We are seeing increased interest in it, so at the mayor's request, we plan to expand the bicycle routes citywide,» said Pavel Vugelman, Deputy Mayor of Odessa.
The president of the «Arcadia» bike club also highlighted positive changes.
«This bike lane has become the best in the city. Since its opening, the number of cyclists has significantly increased. People are responding positively to the new markings. It’s great to witness the growth of cycling sports in Odessa,» stated Victoria Bondarenko.
The city's plans include further enhancement of the cycling infrastructure, including new routes connecting residential areas.
