Inclusive Project for Children: New Opportunities

Military conflicts have caused significant stress among all participants in the educational process. In these circumstances, the importance of teachers grows as they can provide the first psychological support to children.

On July 16, 2025, the presentation of the educational project “Alphabet of Empathy” took place at the Odesa Lyceum “European”, aimed at supporting children's mental health in Ukraine.

The main goal of the project “Alphabet of Empathy” is to overcome barriers and stereotypes regarding people with disabilities, fostering empathetic thinking and respect for diverse life experiences among children.

During the seminar, participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with educational materials, engage in discussions, and exchange experiences.

As part of the project, teachers will be able to undergo free online training and receive international certificates. Educational institutions will be provided with the books “Alphabet of Empathy” and teaching guides for educators.

The program is designed for children aged 5 to 10 years and can be conducted in a regular classroom format; it has been approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The project is implemented in Odesa by the Chepchynski Family Foundation in collaboration with the charity organization Direct Relief, the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, and other partners.
