Celebrating Antoine de Saint-Exupéry: A Tribute in Odessa
As part of the French Culture Week in Odessa, the Central City Library named after I. Franko organized literary readings titled «Celebrating the Stars», dedicated to the anniversary of the renowned author of «The Little Prince», Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
The event also featured the awarding of winners from the national reading competition focused on the beloved tale. The competition attracted approximately 100 participants from across Ukraine.
Fans of Saint-Exupéry's work submitted videos reciting excerpts from «The Little Prince» in both Ukrainian and French. The winners showcased their performances and received certificates and prizes.
The event's ambiance was enriched by performances from the vocalists of Art School No. 13 in Odessa, Sofia Mardarenko and Anastasia Yeryomenko, bard Anatoly Sebov, and poet Vyacheslav Slysharchuk, who recited poems dedicated to Saint-Exupéry.
