National Rowing Championships Held in Kyiv

The national rowing championships were held in Kyiv, honoring the memory of renowned coach Stanislav Zahoria.

Twenty-eight teams from across Ukraine participated in the tournament. Odesa was represented by a team of adaptive athletes – veterans who were injured during the war but are now actively involved in sports, proving that willpower and team spirit can overcome any obstacles.

Before the tournament, the Odesa team trained, familiarized themselves with the route, and prepared for the competition - ahead lay distances that required endurance, coordinated teamwork, and inner strength. The competition was fierce, and the opponents were strong.

During the championships, Odesa's rowers once again demonstrated a high level of preparation and determination to win, earning top spots in the rowing events. It was the strength of spirit, perseverance, daily training, and genuine team support that brought about this well-deserved result.

This victory is not just a sports achievement but also a significant step towards the full recognition of adaptive sports. Our athletes show that nothing is impossible.

Odesa will continue to support the development of adaptive sports and the creation of equal opportunities for everyone.
