Cultural Festival in Austria: Golden Violins of Odessa
In October this year, Vienna will host the event «Days of Culture», where on October 18, the festival «Golden Violins of Odessa» will take place.
This was discussed during a meeting between Odessa's mayor, Gennady Trukhanov, and Vienna's municipal representative, Mr. Thomas Resh.
«We aim to showcase Ukrainian culture to the world. Most festival participants are graduates of the famous Odessa music school named after Stolyarsky. We are excited that our collaboration with Vienna leads to such a significant cultural event,» said the mayor of Odessa.
During the meeting, other aspects of joint work were discussed, including Vienna's experience in cooperation with UNESCO, as the city center has been part of the World Heritage List since 2001.
«We are pleased that our city has been chosen for this conference and festival. We are ready to provide all necessary support for the organization,» added Mr. Res.
The Vienna side also proposed holding a joint round table to discuss issues related to the preservation of cultural heritage and the management of UNESCO sites, using Vienna as an example.
