Cultural Excellence in Odesa: Honoring Outstanding Artists

On the occasion of City Day, Odesa’s mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov awarded the municipal 'Cultural Capital' prize to distinguished cultural and artistic figures, highlighting the importance of culture during difficult times.

"During wartime, culture serves not only as a source of inspiration but as an unyielding force that unites us. The ideas and emotions you convey through your art provide support to our fellow citizens, heal wounds, and give hope for a better tomorrow," stated Hennadiy Trukhanov.

Supporting artists now is crucial. Their talents and creativity help restore national pride and bolster the economy.

Every project, exhibition, or concert is an opportunity for us all to feel unity and affirm that we are together in the fight for peace and prosperity.

The 'Cultural Capital' award recipients include:

- Iryna Biryukova, General Director of the Odesa National Scientific Library;
